This Russian round silver with niello and inner gilding box was produced
in Moscow in the early 1870s. It bears Moscow hall mark, assay mark
“84”, mark of Moscow assay master Victor Savinkov with a date of 1872
(Postnikova 621) and mark of an unknown 19th-century master “IR”
(Cyrillic; unlisted in Postnikova).
