The Sony Digital Voice Recorder w/ Built-in USB lets you record a variety of sounds and voices in extreme clarity with minimal background noise thanks to auto voice recording. This stereo digital voice recorder also has built-in USB for easy file transfer and expandable memory. With as much as 55 hours of battery life and adjustable microphone settings, the ICD-PX470 recorder gives you plenty of versatility.
Adjustable Microphone Range
Get clearer voices thanks to adjustable mic settings. When recording in a single voice, you can capture a narrow field of sound from one direction with Focus mode. When in a meeting, you can use Wide-Stereo mode to open up the range and capture everyone in the room. You can further optimize audio settings by choosing one of four scene pre-sets: music, meeting, interview and dictation.
Reduce Unwanted Background Noise
Eliminate unwanted low-frequency background noises with the low cut filter. Projectors, traffic or wind will distort your recording, but you can filter those sounds out to focus on the voices.
Another way to reduce background noise is Auto Voice Recording, which optimizes audio capture settings for vocal frequencies. This gives you a purer recording that isolates a person’s voice. Clear Voice technology further cleans up the signal when you play your recording back.
Transcription Playback Mode
Review your recordings with Transcription Playback mode. You can easily fast-forward and rewind or create cue points in the track to save your place. With Digital Pitch Control, you can slow down the speed of playback for closer listening.
Low-noise S-microphone
The ICD-PX470 has an S-microphone system that will capture distant and quiet sounds without getting excessive background noise. The S-microphone is high-sensitivity and low-noise — it will capture birds chirping naturally and clearly.
2 Popular File Formats
You can record in either linear PCM or MP3 file format. The PCM format takes more space but captures more detail, making it a good choice for recording music. MP3 files are compressed but need less memory — they’re ideal for long lectures or meetings. You can also play back files in these two formats in music player mode.

Quickly find a file you’re looking for with Calendar Search. The calendar marks recordings by date for easy organization.

There are 4 GB of built-in memory in the ICD-PX470, providing a maximum recording time of 59 hours and 35 minutes (in stereo at MP3 128 kbps). With a micro SD card, you can expand this capacity by up to 32 GB of extra memory. With a 32GB microSD card, you get the equivalent of more than 536 hours recording time.
Extra-long Battery Life
Get extended recording with the built-in mic thanks to a supplied AAA battery that lasts up to 55 hours (using MP3 192/128 kbps). That’s more than two full days of non-stop recording before you have to change the battery. You can rely on the recorder at long conferences or events.

Returns are permitted if you are not satisfied with your purchase and must be initiated by the buyer within 30 days from delivery date.
For Domestic Purchases:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it (see exceptions in Paragraph F below), within 30 days of receipt, for a refund or replacement – subject to the following:
a) Contact us through eBay messages or the returns link to receive a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to ensure proper handling of the return and/or replacement.
b) In order to be eligible for a full refund, less shipping expenses, your returned merchandise must be in its original new condition, as shipped, with all packaging, manuals, and paperwork intact and unaltered. Items which have been opened are returnable, however they will carry a restocking fee.
c) Customers remain responsible for the shipping and handling expenses incurred in shipping the item to them. If an item is offered with “Free Shipping,” this means we are paying the freight on your behalf. If that product is returned for a refund, the shipping expenses incurred, will be deducted from the refund. If an item is refused, the carrier bills us for shipping both ways, and these expenses incurred on your behalf need to be deducted from your refund
d) All returns are subject to inspection. Products returned must be in brand new condition, as per Paragraph b), if not, it may be deemed non-refundable or will be subject to at least a 15% restocking fee. If your return is missing accessory components, or shows signs of wear – restocking fees will be higher. For specific restocking fees that may be applicable to your return, please contact us through eBay messages.
e) Returns should be packed in an outer shipping carton, not just the original box/packing of the product. The RMA# should be clearly inscribed on the shipping label. A copy of your invoice and Order # should be included, and your return should be insured, with shipping costs pre-paid. We cannot accept any COD shipments.
f) There are product categories which are not returnable due to hygienic or sanitary as required by manufacturers. If your items is a consumable good or is has been locked by a manufacturer such as Apple or HP the return will not be accepted
For Warranty information, merchandise lost / any other issues in transit, or order cancellations, please contact us through eBay Messages. In an event where there is an error regarding a price error or description, we will notify you ASAP. In this event there will be no obligation to proceed with the purchase. For International Purchases:
Returns will be accepted within 30 days of the receipt of the item. Items removed from their ‘blister-pack’ display packaging are non-refundable.
